DOCLUME — END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA)

This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal agreement between you (either an individual or a single entity, “you”) and KASAM CORPORATION (“KASAM”, “we”, “us”) for the software product known as Doclume, including any associated documentation and updates (the “Software”).

BY INSTALLING, COPYING OR OTHERWISE USING THE SOFTWARE, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT INSTALL OR USE THE SOFTWARE.

1. GRANT OF LICENSE

Subject to your compliance with this Agreement and payment of any applicable fee, KASAM grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software on devices that you own or control, for your internal business or personal purposes.

2. RESTRICTIONS

You may not:

• (a) reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law;
• (b) rent, lease, sublicense, distribute or otherwise transfer the Software or your rights under this Agreement without KASAM’s prior written consent;
• (c) remove, obscure or alter any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notices contained in the Software;
• (d) use the Software to develop a competing product or to provide a commercial service to third parties on a hosted basis.

3. THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS

The Software includes third-party open-source components and a bundled machine-learning model. Those components are licensed under their own terms, which are reproduced in legal/THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md and the files under legal/third-party/. Nothing in this Agreement limits your rights under those licences with respect to those components.

4. OWNERSHIP

The Software is licensed, not sold. KASAM and its licensors retain all right, title and interest in and to the Software, including all intellectual property rights.

5. PRIVACY AND DATA

The Software operates entirely on your device. It does not transmit your documents, questions, answers or usage statistics to KASAM or any third party, and it contains no telemetry. See legal/PRIVACY.md for details.

6. NO WARRANTY

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. Answers produced by the Software are generated by an automated model, may be incomplete or incorrect, and must not be relied upon as professional, legal, financial or medical advice.

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL KASAM BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE. KASAM’S TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THIS AGREEMENT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE.

8. TERMINATION

This Agreement is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically if you breach any of its terms. Upon termination you must stop using and delete all copies of the Software.

9. GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which KASAM CORPORATION is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
